What’s the Difference Between SEO and SEM?
SEO is Search Engine Optimization. SEM is Search Engine Marketing. Clear as mud? Although many of the same techniques are applied to both methods, the primary difference is that SEO is “free”, and SEM requires payment directly to the Search Engine provider. With SEO; type and age of content, links, and site trustworthiness are some of the main factors, but you have no direct control on whether your site will be displayed for a set of keywords. SEM is based more upon “bidding” for keywords, though the amount you bid for placement is still tied to the sites “quality” or relevance. It is easier to “guarantee” that your page will be shown through SEM, though the “quality” of your ads and landing pages can significantly impact your Cost Per Click.
What is Call Tracking and How Does It Work?
Call Tracking is a method of applying a phone number to a specific advertising campaign, and tracking the calls made to that number, and therefore that campaign. All calls made to this number are redirected to your main phone number, so there is nothing needed on your side to implement. The benefit of call tracking is that it gives you insight to the effectiveness of the campaign, and through our analytics system, it is easy to calculate the actual ROI from these campaign efforts. Allocating a phone number through Progotta’s Unified Marketing Platform is simple, as you just assign a number to the marketing effort, and use that number for your printing, or other marketing effort.
What is Call Recording and Why Should I Use It?
Call Recording takes the next step in helping you to determine quality of the lead by recording the conversations that come in through your call tracking numbers. In addition to being able to determine “after-the-fact” whether a call was a true lead or wrong number, call recording gives you the ability to audit the people answering the phone and insure that your sales process is being followed. It can also be used for training personnel on how to handle various questions from customers. Since this data can be captured through Progotta’s Unified Marketing Platform, there is really no good reason not to use it!
What is a CRM and Why Do I Need One?
CRM stands for Customer Relationship Management. Used properly, a CRM is not only a powerful tool, but the hub of your marketing system and customer management efforts. When a lead comes in, they come into the CRM. From here, there are many actions that can be taken, whether it is to assign them to follow up emails, assign them to a newsletter, have one of your salespeople contact the lead, or custom actions. Basically, once they are in the CRM, you can customize marketing efforts towards that lead to turn them into a customer, as well as follow up with the customer for future marketing efforts. Most CRM’s are standalone applications, that allow you to maintain a list of customers and track your actions with that customer, whereas Progotta’s Unified Marketing Platform allows you to tie your marketing efforts(cost per specific lead) to the lead itself. This gives great insight into the true ROI and the customers value.
How Does Progotta’s Email Marketing Work?
When many companies say the do “Email Marketing”, they really mean that you can send out emails to your customer base, or spam some unsuspecting individuals. We use the general term “Email Marketing” to encompass a wide variety of marketing efforts that are, obviously, email based. This could include news letters, specials and coupons, a series of emails based upon where they are in the sales process, etc. Progotta’s Unified Marketing Platform allows you to customize your use of email correspondence, to maximize and track their effectiveness. We allow you to treat an email as a marketing campaign and assign one of your call tracking numbers, track whether the email has been opened, or send a single email to a lead if necessary. When emails go out will look as though they came from you directly, but we will help you monitor what happens after the send button is pushed.
What is Social Media Marketing(SMM)?
With Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter constantly in the news and on our computer screens, Social Media is too big to ignore. There are many different Social Media channels, and many different ways to market to these channels. As in the SEO vs. SEM options, there are ways to pay to advertise, and ways to advertise “organically”. The organic route would be to create an account, and try to get as many friends/followers as possible, and market directly to them. The paid route would allow you to place ads based upon content on given pages. Since this technology is a little newer, the approaches are little more fluid as new channels and opportunities open up. Progotta’s Unified Marketing Platform is flexible so that you can see your ROI on each of theses channels and tell which ones to focus on.
What is WordPress? Does Progotta Charge for WordPress?
WordPress is a powerful opensource blogging software.
